We design advanced materials and coatings, including innovative tritium barrier layers for safe and efficient reactor operation. Our additive and hybrid manufacturing processes enable the production of large, high-performance, and multi-material components tailored to extreme thermal and radiation loads. Comprehensive material testing and lifetime assessment ensure long-term reliability under realistic fusion conditions.
With partners, we are currently establishing a strong regional and international ecosystem – SAXFUSION – to advance fusion as a clean, safe, and base-load capable energy source, to build strategic expertise, and to make the results available to industry and society.
